For a long needed day of frolicking and exploring unknown areas, I hung out with one of my ever so close friend, Ashleigh. I was craving to run away from the inners of my house, and little did I know, that, my body/ mind/ soul was also craving for a day of unadulterated smiles.
We took so, so many photos, and these are a few of the out-takes. There will be more for your eyes to feast on, soon; just need to sort through the masses with Ash on a day not too far away!

P,S, for the story behind the quote by Stephen Chbosky in the first photo, please go onto my other blog.

Lots of loves and kisses x

As I briefly mentioned in this post, I take photos for Ben Riches of Perth Street Fashion when I have spare time and whatnot. I've been doing this since the start of 2011, and its been a while since I've updated.

It really is a great experience, to go up to strangers and ask them to take their photo. As Hannah mentioned on one occasion, when I was hunting with her, it really is the biggest compliment for someone to confront you and say
"Hey you have a really nice outfit, can I take a photo of you?"
Most people let me, only two people have rejected me ever! And the best part of this kind of rejection is that it doesn't hurt at all.

Here's a selection of my most favourite outfits that I have taken in the past half-year;
in Perth CBD, Northbridge, Mt Lawley, North Perth, Leederville.
Haha, basically all the places you would probably see me if I was out and about. Oh and there's two from down south in Bunbury (when I was down there for Groovin' The Moo)

I've actually been thinking of maybe starting my own "street style" type of thing, as you can see in these photos I've edited them in my own way- Ben likes to post them up on FB pretty raw and with his logo. But with my own creative control and time management, I could go in which ever tangent I wanted with the street style Perth has to offer.
Oh well, we'll see! What do you kids think I should do?

fyra, Nå för det som inte finns.

An eternity spent reaching.. aiming.. what if it never ends?
Always continuing on, other things to reach for, other places to finish...
but it never finish does it? What if it's just one big empty hole inside our
hearts and stomachs?

Story HERE

Thank-you Tasha Gray for modelling & Hannah Peters for the tutu.

I cannot stress to myself how much I need to revise these four chapters
before the exam tomorrow but for some reason, it just doesn't work.
This is DAY TWO.

I have absolutely no self control, at all. How can I when night skies
and day skies and skies all around the world are coloured with this calming
and rich dark pastelly blue colour. I would so much rather stare at the sky and
the moon than be stuck in this room/ exam rooms for another 10 days.
(The video clip for this song by Ra Ra Riot is beautiful by the way)

Usually, I detest photos with pastelly levels with natural, soft tones.
It's too hipsterey for me. Seth, Tasha, and myself braved the mean, cold winter airs
at 8.30 this morning down at Swan River in Bayswater. Poor Tash had to actually enter the
water thresholds, AND she has a cold! I will post the water/ river photos up
later on- I really should be studying.

Oh, and the shoot was for Seth's end of semester fashion review.

I took photos of Bernardine and her three piece band for her tonight :)
I like this one the best, it's a bit rusty at the moment (edited it in like 10 minutes) but I'm having trouble how to portray them as. I mean the techniques and colours used in photos compose so much meaning in itself regardless of the subjects. and Berna said they're just a normal band.
Whaaat? I guess it would help if I had been to any of her many gigs... haha.
Shucks.

On Sunday, I volunteered my help for the Vintage, Vixens and Vamps Fair III
and was the roving photographer for the day.

An annual event, held at the town hall in Freo, that allows vintage lovers from all
over Perth to congregate and feast upon the various treasures and threads that have been
kept from the past. I had such a wonderful time with Vanessa and then once she had to
leave I wondered about- met some new people, went through all the racks viciously and
got some awesome buys! :} :}

Here are a selection of photos I got;

^^ This is most definitely my most favourite shot that I got from Sunday. ^^
The colours, vivacity, and sheer extreme vintage joy!!

Majority of the day was so crowded that it was physically impossible to take full length
shots of the nice outfits people had put together, plus the lighting was just so hard to work with
(as can been seen in the above photos). So I just tried my hardest to make the shots work out as best as possible whilst being squished and rushing before someone walked infront of the camera.
It wasn't all too bad, and a good day indeed :)

Dee also gave me a bottle of wine for helping out. Yay! A worthy deal ;) x

If I could live off these for the rest of my life, I would.

Today I decided to bail from lectures, essays and returned marks to pick up laybys and magazines in town. This pair were standing in the center of a mall in the city, with the hundreds of bodies in lunch rush of town brushing, pushing and flitting past. Since Ben from Perth Street Fashion was also asking me for some photos I decided to ask them for a photo. It was like they were waiting for it!

I've always wanted to take photos among the oak trees and rotten wooden picket fences in Northbridge ever since I was a little kid- my parents would take me to the temple on Money St all the time and I still visit it some times. I didn't accomplish as much as I planned to with Emma-May and Seth, so I will have another visit to these idealistic streets some time during break.
