CHRISTMAS AROUND THE BARN PART 2

Hello Everyone:)

I wanted to show you some more Christmas decorating that has been going on here. Hope you enjoy.

This is our main tree. We always decorate it with vintage and reproduction glass ornaments and lots of beads. This year we put it in front of my pink and white chippy door and placed an angel dressform along side it.

Don puts the lights on every year. He is very serious about this part;) Great job Hun!
Some glass ornaments. The round ones are so teeny. I was so excited when I found them at the market still in their original box.

This little angel sits on top of vintage wallpaper covered books on my desk. I added some garland around her neck after I photographed her. Now she is perfect.
Little touches here and there. I added some glittery silver bows to the girl's chairs.
Glass doves remind me of my own.
Our French farm table in the kitchen. I lined it with  some of the silver tea pots I have collected and added some simple greens and silver garland.

Hope you are having a great week. I still have more Christmas shopping to do. Are you done yet?

'Till next time.......

OUR 1ST WHITE WINTER WONDERLAND

Hello Everyone:)
We had our first snowfall of the year on Sunday evening. The first snowfall is always the best. We only got a couple of inches but it made everything all sparklie and white. We have a very long, curvy driveway and I drive a sports car so I wasn't going anywhere. It's a good thing I work from home:)But, then again I never get to come in late because of the roads;)
I am joining Kathleen over at Faded * Charm. Check out her blog for lots of wonderful whites.

Well, I picked this fabulous bench, made out of a bed, at a flea market about a month ago so you know how I operate;) The 1st floor foyer had to be re-decorated AGAIN! And I am still not satisfied with it so there is more to be done. I also picked up the chalkboard above the bench. Isn't it great? This is the perfect place to sit and
take off wet boots.
I put some of my white vases on top of my Hoosier. I went into the yard and cut some greens  and filled some of them. Simple but just enough for me.
I found this fabulous statue on Sunday at an antique shop. Isn't she pretty. For now she sits on my kitchen island.
And what would White Wednesday be without snowy pictures? The barn looked like it was wrapped in a warm white blanket.

I photograph this tree every year. It looks so beautiful covered in white snowy glitter:)
I will be over to check out your Wednesday Whites so put on the tea.

See you then:) Have a fabulous week! 'Till next time......

P.S. I just read that FIONA & TWIG  is in the January issue of Romantic Homes Magazine!!!!!! How exciting!

CHRISTMAS AROUND THE BARN

Hello Everyone:)
Is everyone else asking " Where the heck did the rest of the year go???" I can't believe that it is December already. And with that said it is also time to decorate for the Holidays:) YYYYeeeeeaaaaa - love it. I am still decorating for Christmas and I wanted to show you what I have done so far. Our big live tree is sitting in the middle of the living room half dressed. Not really sure when that will be finished as the whole house looks like a bomb hit it. Decorations and boxes everywhere. Am I the only one? Please tell me I'm not. But I have been prettying up other areas of the barn.  Here is what I have done already.

Love this little white tree with silver accents. I took an old book and cut zig zags in strips of the pages and used it as garland. I'm happy with the look.

        Silver decor on the Hoosier.

This ironstone was already festive. I keep this crown ornament out all year. I just love it:)
Angel wings for the dress forms with silver accessories to match.

Little bitty children's shoes sit under the white tree.  Soooo cute.

Gotta have my Rosary Beads!
Ironstone, lace and silver. Does it get any better?
                      See my paper garland?

We are so lucky here in the woods. We actually have real German Shepard Deer. Very unique to our Country:)

How are you coming along with your decorating? It seems like by the time I am done it will be time to put it all away so I have to get going:) More decorations to come. Have a wonder Thursday my friends:)

'Till next time..........

FLIRTY BRACELETS

Hello Everyone:)
I have been working on a bunch of cuff bracelets for Maisonstgermain.com. Some are very girly and flirty. I couldn't wait  to show them to you. They are all made with antique laces and jewels and vintage millinery flowers. It was so much fun to create them. They are all on sale now. The wide $12.00 and the thin $10.00. They are all on the site and I have more on the way. We have already been lucky enough to have had someone look at them and put in a great order! So I will be busy, busy, busy:) No two are alike and they would look great to wear them with other bracelets.
Side view. They are not easy to photograph.
 Front view.
Laces, jewels, velvets and tulles....very yummy:)
This was going to be a post for tomorrow but I haven't a clue how to save it until then. So you now have two posts in one day, how about that? LOL Please read the next post to see what you have missed:)
Good Night

MISSED YOU!

Hello Everyone:)

Hope you are all doing well. My computer has been VERY sick:( With more than 7 viruses and over 2100 'issues' ( whatever that means). How, does this happen, I ask you?! Don has worked on it and it is working again but it is just not itself, poor thing.
Anyway, I have missed you all. I kept telling him I have to post, I am going through withdrawal;)I miss my peeps:)
Well, it did give me time to start decorating for Christmas, which makes me happy. I can't wait to share with you what I have been doing.

Last weekend Don and I went to Cape Cod and stayed in our favorite place, The Dan'l Webster Inn. It is a very large inn that covers other buildings.  It is absolutely gorgeous and all of the rooms we have ever stayed in were just the best.

This is the home we stayed in. I say home because that is what it feels like.It is right next door to the Inn. It is  historic and apartment like rooms fill it. The room's walls are all hand painted and stenciled, leather furniture and really high poster beds. Just amazing:)
The whole street in this little town of Sandwich, MA is filled with small shops, restaurants and antique stores.
This is my favorite dining room in the Inn. I believe there are 3. It is a huge solarium that faces a pond with koi and a waterfall. The grounds are  gorgeously landscaped with bird feeders and unique plantings. It is a place that you can just stay at and not even go any where else. The hanging plants in the solarium are so large that they look like gigantic floor plants. The food is soooo delicious and the people who work there can not be nicer. I recommend this wonderful place to everyone:)

You know how I love old cemeteries. We went to the oldest one in Truro. It amazes me how many people died in their teens and twenties in the 1700's. Boy have we come a long way.

I am always interested in the style of the stones and the

inscriptions. I like these angels.

The weekend was so beautiful that we also walked on the beach. We had so much fun finding the prettiest river stones and sea glass.

We also went to an auction and a flea market;) Are you surprised? Both were lots of fun. It was a wonderful weekend!!!! Hope yours was as well.
I promise to post more now that I am able to.

'Till next time......

This gorgeous pink and white millinery hat just took my breath away. Yes, sad but true, hats will do it to me;)
Click on it to see just how beautiful it is. Just jam packed with gorgeousness! AND it was made in Paris!
I was in the kitchen and kept smelling this wonderful scent but couldn't find it. lol, It was these lillies! When I bought them they were closed up. Beautiful and they make the whole kitchen smell like Easter. I need to get some of these for the garden as soon as I find out what kind they are. Does anyone know?
OK HERE IS THE FABULOUSNESS I was talking about.  WOODEN LOCKERS!!! They came out of an old School house. I have been looking for  metal lockers for a while now but haven't found any that spoke to me. Well, these yelled to me from across the flea market field. They have a little shelf in the top each one and and small hooks for coats and hats. They are white and chippy. I can imagine little children putting their tiny books, pencils and coats in them. Aren't they great? Have you ever seen wooden ones before? I think once I clean them up they are going into the first floor foyer. I'll post to show you how they look when I do. Right now they are in the middle of my library so I need a plan asap;)
AND look at the gorgeous Wedding Gown! I wish I had a gown like this when I got married. It is so fluffy and wonderful. It even came with extra buttons. And for $10.00 I had to bring it home;) Also brought home my weekly flowers. My favorite flower guys won't be back until next Spring. I'll miss their sunny personalities  and their happy flowers:)
Old hinges and even a lock for tiny fingers.
Love how the black is coming through on this locker.
Now don't forget to head on over to Kathleen at Faded*Charm for more White Wednesday. She has the best White Wednesday bloggers. I am  going to head over to visit with you too:)
'Till next time............

P.S
I just had to share this you all of you who like to burn candles. Have you tried Better Homes and Gardens Scented Wax cubes from Walmart???? $2.00 and the yummiest scents ever.
I dropped a bag of radishes and the dogs quickly ate as many as they could get a hold of. Well, lets just say I'm burnin' candles, incense and wax cubes. And they will NOT be sleeping in my room tonight;)
